2. Carbs Are The Worst

The “experts” have a love-hate relationship with carbs. For a couple of years, they will tell you to load up on carbs as much as you can and then they’ll turn around and change the record and start telling you that carbs are the worst thing in the world. We are now in the carb-hate part of the cycle and, as you may have guessed, it is total nonsense.

Quite simply put, in order to gain muscle tissue, your body needs carbohydrates. It is pure biology and no amount of hype can change this. Sure, your body can substitute them by burning fats for some time, but this is not a sustainable fix. Also, do not believe the people who tell you protein is all you need. You need carbs.

And even if your body could somehow function without carbs, your brain cannot. It requires glucose to function properly. You cannot starve your brain.
