How Running Can Curb Your Appetite

We all know how good running can be for your health, but every now and then we learn that it can help in ways that he previously did not know about.

Research has shown that running has a very positive effect on the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC), which is a part of the brain that is responsible for thoughts and actions.

A new study that was done on young women who show constant cravings for unhealthy snacks such as chips and chocolate shows that the DLPFC plays a very important role in these cravings. In fact, this new study shows that the DLPFC is the most important area of the brain when it comes to being able to resist snacking.

And as the old studies show, running, and other short-term aerobic exercise, can increase the flow of blood and oxygen to that part of the brain, which is incredibly important when it comes to your self control.
