Why Stretching Is A Must

A general opinion exists that stretching is for old people and those who do yoga. The truth, however, couldn’t be further from that. Stretching is an essential part of every workout, for a number of different reasons.

For one, stretching before and after a workout reduces the chances of injury as it prepares the muscles for strenuous work and allows them to cool down gradually. In addition to this, stretching improves the flexibility of the muscles, enabling better workouts.

Furthermore, it enhances nutrient and blood supply to the muscles, allowing for better results and minimizing the soreness. Many experts agree that stretching before and after workouts will also contribute to building muscle mass.

It is important to remember that stretching is not only important for workouts. Everyone should stretch out a few times every day, especially if they spend a lot of their time sitting down. Stretching will not only keep your muscles healthy and pain-free, but also lift your mood.
