Here’s A Couple Of Tips On Defeating Your Beer Belly

For every person who loves nothing more than to delight in a nice, clean glass of ice-cold lager, it’s very tough to stop after drinking only one. That’s where the sugar from the alcohol and carbohydrates kicks in, and puts your fat loss at a halt.

Increasing your protein intake to at least 1 gram of protein per pound and decreasing your carbohydrate intake to 1 gram per pound is a good way to start off the long and tedious process of removing fat from your belly. Here’s some more advice on the matter:

Put in some extra work

Don’t tell us it’s that big of an issue to move a bit more each day. If you’re already performing 3-5 solid workouts per week, lifting weights and doing cardio, it’s high time to add a little extra work. Take 10 minutes from your day and do a mini-workout. Go for the kettlebell swing and burpee combination – it’s a workout that won’t put that much pressure on your muscles to hinder recovery, but it will hit your metabolism hard, thus helping your work capacity and your overall condition.

Try ditching beer for at least two weeks

We know it’s difficult, and we know this will actually hurt the most, but you have to try. With the right mindset, you can easily commit to taking a two-week break from drinking beer (or any alcohol), and your body should make some drastic improves in that short period of time. Your fat mobilization will increase, and so will your insulin sensitivity, testosterone, growth hormone and other metabolic factors.

Try fasting

There are all kinds of methods of fasting, and a lot of them can be beneficial when you are trying to lose fat. Try the Warrior Diet, which is based on a 20-hour fast/4-hour feed combo, or the Leangains Method, which is a 16-hour fast/8-hour feed combo. When you fast, you willingly control Ghrelin, the hunger hormone, and you reduce overall calories.

There are many ways to lose belly fat, but whichever method you opt for, just remember this much – you have to be consistent. Otherwise, you can take all your effort and throw it out the window, along with the hopes of ever having a perfect stomach. Remember, no pain – no gain!
