This means that eating foods that are rich in proteins, you will feel full longer and thus control your food intake more successfully.

In addition to this, when you pack enough protein in, you can lower your caloric intake without worrying about losing muscle mass, which is what getting lean is all about. Protein allows you to build muscles while losing weight, plain and simple.

One thing to remember when protein is in question is that you should ingest it in small portions, but regularly. The ideal way to do this would be to eat at least 30 grams of protein every four hours. More is fine too.
